Food Truck Revolution
In the spring of 2030, the largest solar flare eruption ever recorded races towards the earth. The fiery plasma, estimated to be over fifty million degrees Kelvin slams into the International Space station forcing it into the earth’s atmosphere.
The planet’s gravity continues hurling the intense ball of coagulated metal and plasma deep into the bowels of Yellowstone National Park.
The resulting explosion creates a devastating ripple effect throughout the North American Continent causing untold destruction.
After the dust settles power-hungry Jerks fight for control of the “Cities” that were left standing. Those that want to remain in the cities swear a lifetime of servitude to the Jerks-in-Charge and their Jerk families. Everyone else that refuses to comply are sent to the “Co-ops”.
Owned and operated by global corporations the co-ops are left alone by the cities. The unfortunates that get sent to these heavily guarded mega farms are subjected to sixteen or more hours a day working the fields. Day after day you toil the soil with no break until you are unable to physically work or die. Then you are recycled.
One day an unlikely couple found me abandoned on the side of a dirt road. They took me in and raised me as their own. A short time later my adopted parents found a safe place with plenty of food and shelter for us to call home. It is here at this safe haven, almost fourteen years later where us “Free-folk” continue to thrive.
Now home to over seven hundred Free-folk, Sanctuary is a ten-thousand-acre farm owned by an eccentric, but kind farmer named Old Man Barlowe. Scavenging what we can my parents and others-build custom-made food trucks, also called “Rigs”.
From our rigs we trade uniquely delicious fresh food for goods and services that we cannot find on our own. Every Friday and Saturday we go out to the independent towns and villages that will have us.
In the last two years our food truck caravan had grown to over twenty food trucks! This two-day event called, “FOOMAZA” has become so popular that we now have the attention of the cities and co-ops.
Unwilling to stomach the idea that groups of Free-folk are able to thrive outside of the cities and co-ops small groups of heavily armed “Law-bringers and Co-op Slavers” are sent out to capture us and destroy our food trucks.
With help from the nearby free towns and villages we are able to keep the Law-bringers and Co-op Slavers at bay. At least for now.
My dad promised to teach me how to drive his food truck on my fourteenth birthday next week! One day when I have my own rig I will stand up to the cities and co-ops until all Free-folk are able to enjoy FOOMAZA without fear of attack or reprisal.
If you love food and freedom, then join us at Sanctuary. We have plenty of room and food to go around. My name is Max Appetite, “Welcome to the Food Truck Revolution!”

Welcome, fellow FOODIES to the "FOOD TRUCK REVOLUTION!!!"
Our story's Hero! Found abandoned by the side of the road nearly thirteen years ago, Big T, Synnamon, Alfonse, and their friends took Max in and raised him as their own.
Almost fourteen now the only thing Max loves more than FOOMAZA is to be a constant thorn in Viggo's and General McGwire's side as he tries to fulfill his dream of uniting all of the Free-folk in New America to take a stand against the cities and co-ops.
Max's adopted father, Big Tuna or Big T is known on this side of the Muddissippi River as the best deep-fried fish cook of New America and the founder of "FOOMAZA".
A kind and gentle soul Big T only cares about the safety and wellbeing of his family during this dark age of uncertainty.
Max's adopted mother, Synnamon, does her best to take care of the constant influx of Free-folk that seek refuge at Sanctuary, while at the same time juggling her family and FOOMAZA responsibilities.
This loving, free-spirited ginger is the glue that holds Sanctuary together. And she is probably one of the only humans in New America that is not intimidated by L.O.C.O or Snarky-bot.
Adopted Uncle to Max and younger brother to Big T, Alfonse is the Commander of Road Warriors that protect the inhabitants of Sanctuary.
Considering himself to be the Italian American Casanova of New America, Alfonse uses his roguishly good looks and tight physique to persuade potential allies (of the feminine sort) to join "The Cause".
A unique, state-of-the-art military grade A.I. combat-bot, L.O.C.O. considers himself to be Max's ultimate protector and guardian.
This no-nonsense bot is just as quick on the trigger as he is with his mouthy comebacks. Outside of his ward, Max, L.O.C.O. does not interact very well with other humans or bots.
Old Man Barlowe or Pop to Max is the owner and benefactor of Sanctuary. Staying out of sight most of the time from the other Free-folk at Sanctuary, Old Man Barlowe is always behind the scenes keeping a protective eye on Max.
This introverted old farmer will play a key role in the Food Truck Revolution that is to come.
King Mechawattage rules Tech Town, a fantastic place where humans, bots, and hybrids work together to bring technology to a world with very limited power.
Although Mechawattage is thought by many to be a classic, self-absorbed, narcissist he works with Old Man Barlowe in secret to keep the balance of power from shifting towards the cities and co-ops.
L.O.C.O.'s digital twin, Snarky-bot is King Mechawattage's personal bodyguard and assistant. Just like his brother Snarky-bot's reputation for giving 'attitude' is known far and wide.
Bound to Max for reasons yet unknown, Snarky-bot along with L.O.C.O. will do everything in their power to protect the teen. God help anyone that tries to harm Max.
Commander of the Guard at Tech Town, A-1 is only concerned with protecting his home. Insulting Max during their first encounter King Mechawattage sentences A-1 to "The SHREDDER"!
Max begs the King to spare the hybrid and allow him to take A-1 back to Sanctuary with him. A-1 is determined to spend the rest of his days protecting Max and learning what it means to be human again.
Rumored to be the location of the largest snack cake manufacturing facility in the southeast before the 2030 disaster, Mayor Gunk is the self-appointed ruler of Snacky Town.
Mayor Gunk's maniacal personality and self-triggered psychosis only equaled by Viggo himself uses old family recipes to create destructive, yet very tasty highly flammable fructose weapons like (Satan's Fart Juice) to aid his best friend Max during their Food Truck Revolution.
"A JERK" Recruited by the Corporation of Co-ops in 2031 General "Razor wire" McGwire is a force to be reckoned with. He runs a tight ship to ensure that his co-op produces the highest yields possible without interruption.
When the general is not working his laborers to death he is prowling "The Wilds" of New America looking for more Free-folk to capture and indefinitely confine to his co-op.
"A MEGA JERK" Forget all of the bad guys that you have ever seen in the movies. Viggo the Ego is by far the most sinister psychopath of New America.
This maniacal overlord of Viggopolis is hell bent on stopping FOOMAZA, capturing, enslaving, or killing as many Free-folk as he can, and finding Sanctuary so that he can burn it to the ground! Second only to General McGwire, Viggo will prove to be Max's and the Free-folk's great nemesis to date.
Nice, along with her parents Rabiah, and Mario are new refugees that find their way into Sanctuary as Max and his family return from another successful FOOMAZA.
Taking an instant attraction to Max, Nice is grateful to finally be in a safe place with lots of food, fresh water, and friends! Naturally curious and skeptical, Nice does her best to fit in at Sanctuary.
Rabiah is a kindred spirit to Synnamon. A hard working, intelligent, and devoted wife, mother, and friend Rabiah has no problem helping anyone in need.
Often seen frequenting the homemade wine tent with Synnamon, Rabiah feels more at home in Sanctuary then she has anywhere else in the last fourteen years.
Ex-Army Ranger Mario, instantly bonds with Alfonse who is also ex-military. With sniper skills only matched by Alfonse, Mario proves himself to be an invaluable ally to Sanctuary.
Mario hides a deadly secret that could tear his family and Sanctuary apart. Where does this ex-soldier's true allegiance's lie?
